Many factors contribute to why transportation costs have been increasing. Tight capacity and a huge surge in the percentage of parcels being delivered to residential addresses has put a strain on the UK parcel network and annual price rises and surcharges are set to be extra high for 2021.
Legislation and Administration:
UK businesses are faced with significant and unprecedented challenges in 2021. Both COVID and Brexit are likely to result in medium-term economic reconfiguration as well as near-term disruption. The extent and costs associated with the “administrative burden” facing UK businesses after the Brexit transition period is difficult to calculate, but will be a significant consideration for 2021.
